“We launched a high-stakes AR sweepstakes for Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars, letting players virtually stack dollar bills - complete with custom DeepFake currency triggers - while competing for a $20,000 prize every week throughout the campaign.”

When Gordon Ramsay set aside his knives to invest in the next big food and drink entrepreneur, FOX called on Buoy to engineer an immersive fan experience that captured the show’s cutthroat spirit. We developed a fully gamified AR mechanic where users stacked digital sheets of money, racing to build their “capital” as high as possible. Adding to the fun, we designed DeepFake dollar bills that triggered the AR environment, turning any real surface into a “high-stakes” playing field. With an average play time of 1.5 minutes and users trying at least three times each, the mini-game fostered a competitive edge that complemented Ramsay’s new role as judge, mentor, and investor - ensuring fans felt the same adrenaline rush as the show’s aspiring entrepreneurs.
