Tree Hut recognized the newly public domain status of The Wizard of Oz as an opportunity to create a modern, shareable experience appealing to audiences in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York. Our end-to-end solution in partnership with Bakery, was to develop a frictionless WebAR game that leveraged geo-targeted take-overs at locations in LA, Chicago, and NYC. Advanced VPS AR tracking, allowing users to pop emerald bubbles for points without needing an app download. Vibrant visuals, reminiscent of the iconic IP combined with playful animations to bring the nostalgic charm of Oz to life. Within its first week, the “Enchanting Emerald City” activation accumulated over 200,000 plays, fueling social media buzz and proving that merging a beloved classic with real-time AR can spark excitement, foster brand engagement, and create memorable user experiences."
