Buoy led the strategy, concept, and end-to-end design and development for Nextworld, marking the first time Netflix had envisioned its brand in a 3D universe. Built on Roblox, Nextworld lets fans collect show-inspired items - ranging from the Going Merry in One Piece to Eleven’s Waffle Extravaganza in Stranger Things - and decorate custom Fan Pods. Users can also explore connected worlds for Cobra Kai balance challenges or Is It Cake? mini-games, earning daily rewards and unlocking exclusive loot. The result: tens of millions of engaged users and a 91% approval rating, proving that combining communal play with Netflix’s iconic IP can amplify brand loyalty and excitement on a massive scale.
