Written by Jess Hundley and illustrated with the help of AI, the book follows a day in Olly’s life as he navigates PFIC (Progressive Familial Intrahepatic Cholestasis) without losing his playful spirit or sense of humor. Each chapter introduces child-friendly analogies that break down the complexities of PFIC, plus plenty of knock-knock jokes to keep things light. The second half features interactive activities tied to the story, encouraging kids to reflect on their own experiences and discover helpful tools for managing their health. By blending generative AI storytelling with practical educational content, we empowered children and their families to tackle PFIC conversations with confidence and positivity.
