Overview
With Remote Rendering, Magic Leap 2 headsets can function as an AR display for a desktop workstation, breaking free of the constraints of on-device compute. Combining this with the immensely powerful real-time raytracing of Nvidia Omniverse, we created a demo that renders a few city blocks with moving cars, birds, and even a hot air balloon. The scene has 6 gigabytes of geometry yet runs smoothly on consumer hardware while streaming all its content wirelessly to the Magic Leap headset, leaving demo visitors rightfully impressed.
